The Cherokee County Elementary Science Olympiad will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Creekview High School, 1550 Owens Store Road, Canton, from  8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Cobb EMC is the sponsor for the event.  Thirty-five teams from 23 elementary schools are participating in this year’s event.  Open events include: Chopper Challenge, Paper Rockets, and Water Rockets.  Closed events include: Crime Busters, Disease Detectives, Mystery Architecture, Large Number Estimation, and Starry, Starry Night.  There will be a special presentation by Cherokee County School District Police Sgt.
